Abby + Vincent – Bowing Oaks Plantation – Jacksonville, FL
Our Southern Charm Events team fell in love with Abby and Vincent all over again when we saw their wedding photos from Bowing Oaks Plantation.
Abby, Vincent and their families were an absolute pleasure to work with. You can just see how much in love they are. Vincent was already friends with Abby’s older brother, so they were friends for a long time before they ever started dating.
They dated for a few years before they got engaged and Vincent proposed at the Lightner Museum in St Augustine, during the Night of Lights.
Abby’s mother is a talented Interior Designer and it shows; she worked with the florist on all of the wedding design.
After spending the morning getting ready for the wedding, it was time for Abby and Vincent’s First Look. Something Abby said was their favorite part of the day!
Vincent waited nervously for the moment to arrive and they were placed back to back. Holding hands, they took a moment and then turned for their First Look. {Be sure to look for their First Look which is featured in Perfect Wedding Guide’s Head Over Heels blog.}
Abby wore a very flattering strapless lace wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline, accented by a fingertip length veil. Her handtied bridal bouquet of roses and ranunculus in burgundy and white, white delphinium, seeded eucalyptus, thistle and dusty miller really popped against her wedding gown.
Vincent looked handsome in his classic two button black tuxedo with a long necktie and boutonniere with flowers used in Abby’s bouquet.
The outdoor ceremony space looked warm, welcoming and elegant.
The giant oak tree was adorned with our Southern Charm Events crystal chandelier, a fete that took two days and a giant lift to accomplish and ribbons of white fabric. The aisle was decorated with two large barrels, each holding a chrome lanterns with burgundy and white flowers. The dark wood garden chairs along the aisle were dressed with boughs of flowers to continue the burgundy and white color story.
The couple beamed as they exchanged their rings and wedding vows!
Following the cocktail reception guests made their way to the ballroom for an evening of dinner and dancing. Crystal chandeliers, soft flowing white fabric and greenery on satin ribbons hung from the ceiling and enveloped the couple’s sweetheart table.
Dining tables were draped in warm tan linen and decorated with pillar candles in glass hurricane globes, greenery and accents of burgundy and white floral. Our Southern Charm Events’ tufted white loveseat “Prissy” added an elegant touch to the sweetheart table.
Abby and Vincent glowed as they took the dance floor for their first dance
One of the amazing details of their wedding was this hand drawn sketch of the couple. Guests were invited to sign the mat, creating a beautiful one of a kind piece of artwork for Abby and Vincent.
The evening ended with this beautiful three-tiered buttercream wedding cake and a few special sweet treats.
The sign “Love Is Sweet” says it all. Congratulations Abby and Vincent, we wish you a lifetime of happiness.
Thank you to all of the wedding professionals who brought this amazing wedding to life.
