Jillie + Chad's Bowing Oaks Wedding

When we first meet our couples, we’re always eager to learn where they dream of getting married. And when Jillie and Chad mentioned they had plans to wed at Bowing Oaks Plantation, we were thrilled (as always)! Like we’ve mentioned before, we love this Jacksonville wedding venue because it’s dripping in Spanish moss, offers some of the most beautiful light in Florida, and has indoor and outdoor locations for ceremonies and receptions. 


On their wedding day, Jillie and Chad spent their mornings getting ready on-site (another venue highlight!) at Bowing Oaks Plantation. Once the ladies and gents were ready, they captured outdoor portraits before the ceremony was officially underway. But there was one caveat: Jillie and Chad chose not to see each other until she walked down the aisle. 


During their ceremony, J+C recited their vows in front of a floral wreath that had their new shared monogram placed in the center. Guests looked on from their seats outside, and the setting and atmosphere definitely set the tone for a beautiful day. The happy mood only continued during cocktail hour where guests sipped cocktails, relaxed on the outdoor lounge seating, and learned where they would sit inside thanks to a gilded gold seating sign. 


Inside the Bowing Oaks Plantation barn, ivory draping hung overhead to create a soft, romantic feel, while tables were adorned with high and low centerpieces made from ivory blooms. Jillie and Chad also incorporated gold chargers and navy blue linens and glassware to welcome their complete palette onto the scene. Their names and wedding date popped up as a logo behind where they would sit, and the dance floor was ready to welcome the couple and their guests for a full night of fun.
