Amanda + Jon's Manor at 12 Oaks Wedding
Throughout 2020, COVID-19 asked many of our couples to alter their plans and consider new options for their wedding days. Though that kind of change was heartbreaking to witness, what kept us going was how graciously brides and grooms welcomed new ideas with open arms. One of the couples we adored working with the most was Amanda and Jon.
Originally, Amanda, a realtor, and Jon, a steel worker, had been counting down the days until their tropical celebration set in the heart of Jamaica. But, as Amanda noted, COVID-19 had other plans. When presented with options, Amanda and Jon decided to join together with their family and friends in their home state of Florida instead of waiting to celebrate in Jamaica at a later date. The thing that brings us the most joy as planners is this: Amanda and Jon both said their wedding day at The Manor at 12 Oaks was even better than the Jamaica soiree they had envisioned.
When A+J pulled into The Manor at 12 Oaks, she said she simply knew this was where they were meant to get married. They loved that the property had plenty of space, but it also ushered in a completely intimate feel. An added bonus was both Amanda and Jon would be able to get ready onsite!
As we were planning the details, Amanda and Jon chose to walk down the aisle in the pavilion. With its combination of exposed brick and wood, the spot had plenty of character for their ceremony. Post vows, the couple captured additional photos together before joining their guests for cocktail hour and dancing during the reception.
Inside their reception tent, round tables were adorned with a collection of bud vases and taper candles – a look we loved! String lights also glowed overhead, which added to the intimate feel The Manor at 12 Oaks is known for. The pavilion where Amanda and Jon officially became Mr. and Mrs. served a new purpose – it’s where they shared their first dance! We also utilized some of the indoor space because A+J loved the idea of cutting their cake inside.
Amanda and Jon jumped through hurdles in order to officially wed, and we are overjoyed they loved their soiree at The Manor at 12 Oaks even more than they could have imagined. Congratulations!
