Kat and James - Club Continental - Orange Park, FL
Our Southern Charm Event Planning team loved working with Kat and James on their beautiful wedding at Orange Park’s Club Continental.
Their wedding requests were relatively simple. Most important to them were having all of their favorite people in one place, incorporating butterflies and a color story that included teal, light blue, and blush with a touch of gold.
James got the wish list started by creating custom light blue hombre invitations with blush tone flowers and Monarch butterflies.
Kat looked absolutely beautiful in an A-line wedding gown with a lace bodice that accentuated her curves. She had seen the gown online and knew right away it was the gown she would wear on her wedding day.
James wore a dark grey suit with matching vest and a light blue bow tie.
In the very beginning of their relationship the two broke with tradition; never date a co-worker. Then something happened quite unexpectedly and their relationship grew very quickly and three years later he popped the question.
But they decided to stay a little more traditional on their wedding day and not see each other.
They did decide on a first touch and to exchange wedding gifts the morning of the wedding that were to be delivered by their mothers. A super cute idea almost never happened when Kat forgot where she hid her gift for James and sent her mother on a frantic search the night before the wedding.
James’ gift to Kat was a beautiful Tiffany heart shaped necklace and her gift to him were custom engraved cuff links with their names and wedding date.
James smiled ear to ear as Kat made her way down the aisle with her parents.
The two exchanged their wedding vows along the beautiful St Johns River, a location known for its natural beauty. The backdrop of mature trees, hanging Spanish moss and waterfront views were perfect for Kat and James’ butterfly release during the wedding ceremony.
Inside the club’s glass enclosed Garden Room, tables were draped with white linen and a tablescape that included floral arrangements in blush and white with butterflies, light blue napkins and gold votive candles.
Each place setting also included a wedding favor of flower seeds in packets that complimented the couple’s wedding invitations.
Kat and James spent the evening surrounded by everyone they love, dining, dancing and having an incredible time; everything they wished for.
Thank you to all of the vendors who made this day so special.
